Innovative Drug Research Progress in Therapeutic Time Window for Ischemic Stroke

Abstract

After ischemic stroke,there is a period of time called therapeutic time window for reducing the degree of brain injury,promoting the function recovery and improving the long-term outcome.It is closely related to ischemic penumbra outcomes,besides,the application of PAF receptor antagonists,TXA2 targeting drugs or drug combinations can slow or reverse ischemic penumbra damages,which can extend the time window.This paper reviews the mechanism of ischemic penumbra and time window of anti-stroke drug treatment that have been researched for the past five years,which provides more chances for clinical medicine.
