Abstract
Using phase-change paraffin as the core material and the cheaper polyurea and polyurethane as shell materials, the single-shell and the double-shell microencapsulated phase change materials for heat energy storage applications are synthesized by interfacial polymerization. The synthesized microcapsules are characterized by DSC and TG.The results show that double-wall material microcapsule is sufficient yields during the reaction in the synthesis compared with single-wall material prepared microcapsule in the same conditions, phase transition temperature is 19.02℃ at the room temperature, and to maintain the higher phase transition latent heat 79.9J/g,it suitable for phase change materials used in construction.
