Preliminary Study on Artificial Feeding Method of Spodoptera exigua

[Objective] The aim of the research was to feed Spodoptera exigua artificially and provide reliable insect sources for smooth determination of biological activity.[Method] On the basis of previous feeding S.exigua,a set of simple and convenient artificial feeding methods of S.exigua were sum up according to practical situations.[Result] Feeding conditions,feeding equipments and tools and feeding process all had their specific requirements.And some points for attention were put forward.[Conclusion] This research provided an approach for artificial feeding of S.exigua in a large scale.
