Research on the Variation and Diversity of Meanings of Signs in Intercultural Perspective

The complexity of the meanings of signs lies in the process in which how the meanings develop,the diverse genres of meanings and the free denotation of signs at different levels.Meanings are generated when signs act as signifier and signified.Meanings of signs go through a process of development,variation and disappearance.The meanings of signs can be classified into different genres,such as connotation and denotation,reason and association,symbolism,etc.We should make a deep analysis of the complex signs in a specified cultural context and explore the symbolism of signs in different cultures.We should also explore how meanings are generated and developed while revealing their deep cultural connotations so as to promote cross-cultural communication.
