Abstract
To investigate the clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features and differ-ential diagnosis of myoepithelioma of salivary glands.Clinicopathological and immunohisto-chemical study was carried out in16cases with myoepithelioma of salivary glands.Several cell types including spindle,plasmacytoid,epithelioid and clear cells were found histologically in myepoithe-liomas of16patients(12benign and4malignant).Immunohistochemically,the positive rate in malig-nant and benign were shown as following:S-100,91.7%and100%;SMA,66.7%and50%;Calponin,91.7%and75%,respectively.[Conclusion]The combined staining with S-100,Calponin and SMA helps myoepithelial cell differential diagnosis in salivary gland tumors.
