Abstract
This paper presents a numerical model for simulating nonlinear wave interaction with submerged porous breakwater. In the model, the wave field outside the submerged porous breakwater and the flow inside it are taken into account as a whole. The model calculates the wave field outside the submerged porous breakwater based on the Reynolds Navier-Stokes equation and k-e model. The flow in the submerged porous breakwater is described by the Forcheimer equation. The VOF method is adopted to deal with free surface. The governing equation for the volume of fluid is solved by donor-acceptor method. In the paper, cosine wave is used and wave surface change along the submerged porous breakwater and the pressure inside it are reproduced by the numerical simulation.
