Abstract
Objective To study the effect of MRI in observing the inner ear fluid to the preoperative imaging evaluation for cochlear implantation.Methods Fifty patients with deafness underwent the cochlea and cochlear nerve examination with MRI before cochlear implantation.All original images were delivered to workstations and MPR,MIP and VRT were used for their three-dimensional reconstruction.Results All patients successfully completed examination,and the cochlea and cochlear nerves of 45 patients were in good status,and cochlear malformation was found in 1 patient,and semicircular canal malformation was detected in 1 patient,and 2 patients were accompanied with cochlear nerve malformation.Conclusion Magnetic resonance imaging of the inner ear fluid water shows the anatomy and development status of the inner ear membranous labyrinth and cochlear nerve,which can provide information for cochlear implantation.
