Abstract
The wetland, one of the large ecological systems of the earth, is of high vitality and holds many water and soil resources together. In this paper, an introduction is given to the general situation of wetland resources in China. The causes of wetland reduction, measures for its protection, and strategies for its sustainable development are discussed, and the important function of wetland protection in sustainable utilization of water and soil resources is expounded, so as to promote river basin water and soil resources and wetland resources protection and alleviate the ecological crisis of wetland resources.
