On the Humanist Rationalism Element of Ecological Ethics

Traditional scientific rationalism has resulted in the non humanist development pattern of science, which is impossible to be resolved by traditional scientific rationalism itself. The sharpening conflict between nature and man's existence and development calls for an objective investigation into the traditional scientific rationalism from the perspective of perfect harmony between man and nature. This paper discusses the incapability of traditional scientific rationalism in bringing forth a perfect harmony between man and nature It proposes that there should be a humanist rationalism oriented reconstruction of ecological ethics.
