North American Free Trade Area is the first regional economic integration organization comprising of developed countries and developing countries with its trade and economic disputes settlement mechanism characterized by coexistence of multiple trade and economic disputes settlement mechanisms, wide scope of accepting cases, emphasis on private interest protection and innovation of the panel procedure settings. The article makes a comparison between North American Free Trade Area and China-ASEAN Free Trade Area in trade and economic disputes settlement mechanism in terms of organization structuring, jurisdiction scope, operation procedure, and in turn summarizes reference and revelation to improvement of trade and economic disputes settlement in China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
