Abstract

Yijianzhi is a collection of mystery novels written by Hong Mai in Southern Song Dynasty. The stories collected in Yijianzhi are most about strange things, popular and extensive. Therefore, the novelists and dramatists in Ming and Qing Dynasties were keen to draw materials from it. This paper regarded the re-compose and re-creation in novel and opera of the Ming and Qing Dynasties as the research object and studied the reasons of the dissemination of Yijianzhi during the Ming and Qing Dynasties from a new perspective. Meanwhile this paper explored its influence on literature of the Ming and Qing Dynasties through the acceptation and feedback of ancient critics.
