Abstract

Chemical process safety is one of the main research areas in green chemical technology.The study of thermal runaway critical criteria in chemical exothermic system is mainly to determine safe operating area and to avoid thermal runaway.This paper summarizes the critical criteria of thermal runaway,analyzes their advantages and disadvantages,and presents the approaches for the evaluation of their effectiveness.Finally,the prospect of nonlinear science application in thermal runaway of chemical exothermic system is presented.
