A Probe on Descartes's Rationalism and Rationalistic Aesthetics

Abstract

Descartes' rationalism ushered in a prosperous period of rationalism in 17th century European continent.His philosophical outlook,considering human rationality to be the basis of truth and art,showed disbelief and negation for the empiricism,thus can be regarded as theoretical basis for the rationalism and rationalistic aesthetics.
