Abstract

【Objective】 To observe the retrosigmoid approach in acoustic neuroma microsurgery treatment efficacy.【Methods】 A retrospective study of 60 cases admitted to our department in patients with acoustic neuroma retrosigmoid approach for removal of the tumor under a microscope, the clinical data, analyze and summarize the retrosigmoid approach in acoustic neuroma therapy.【Results】 The tumor totally removed in 57 cases(95%),subtotal resection in 3 cases(5%);patients with no deaths case, facial nerve anatomy retained in 56 cases(93%),facial nerve function preservation in 47 cases(78.3%);hearing preservation rate was 41.5%.【Conclusion】 The retrosigmoid approach is a kind of total tumor removal rate,a higher retention rate of facial nerve and acoustic nerve, blood vessels and nerve tissue damage is smaller, safer surgical method.
