Abstract

This research examines the use of music technology in today's violin music and performance. Music technology has provided the violinist opportunities to execute music in different ways. Robert Davidson's Message Ground: Violin Duo or Solo Violin with Digital Delay or CD is a selected example of this research. This research investigates the relationship between violin playing, technology application and audio engineer. It discusses techniques of violin playing and the process of making a recording. These challenges provide excellent exercises grounding in the fundamental basis of the violin playing and utilising the music technology into the performance preparation.
