Abstract

Under different historical conditions,Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin all integrated Marxism's doctrine of the `comprehensive development of people'with Chinese realities.In theory and practice they made outstanding contributions to advancing quality-oriented education.Their ideas about quality-oriented education show both similarities and differences.They all subscribe to the Marxist doctrine of `comprehensive development',combine theory and practice\,and aim to serve the people by raising their cultural and educational qualities.They all demonstrate a consistent adherence to socialist schooling,Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's ideas on quality-oriented education possess greater sensitivity to their times,strategicness and comprehensiveness.
