Abstract

With the AEO-7,PEG400MS,LAE-9,EL-40,EL-60 and APG as surfactant, the glycerine, synth eticnbutyl alcohol and 1,3-butyleneglycol as cosurfactant, the isopropyl myristate and Mineral oil as oil,the formulations of the microemulsion was optimized by studying the effect of pseudotertiary phase diagrams and surfactant, cossurfactant, oil, etc on the formation of microemulsion and its stability. The experimental results indicated the formation of microemulsion was dependent on the HLB values of surfactants, the nature of oils and cosurfactants, the weight ratio of surfactant to cosurfactant and the type of additives in the water phase. The average diameter of the sample was below 100 nm,which accorded with that of micro-emulsion.The microemulsion systmes of AEO-7/IPM/water,EL-40/IPM/water,EL-40/span80/IPM/water and EL-40/span80/IPM/Mineral oil/water were stable and safe after going through the stability and safety tests, and will be potential carriers for medicinal and comsetic drug delivery system.
