Abstract

In order to protect image’s information, a universal digital image encryption algorithm is proposed. Firstly, one dimensional random chaos sequence is created by keys and sorted. After making an array of original indices based on the one dimensional random chaos sequence, the image’s pixel positions is shifted by one-to-one with the corresponding sequence so that the image’s pixel positions will be scrambled and encrypted. Then, the XOR operation is used to alter the pixel value in each pixel and the custom random encryption function to realize pixel value scrambling. Lastly, the effect of encryption is also analyzed by using the method of accessing. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the algorithm has a large space of keys, a good encryption effects and efficiency, a better security performance to statistical analysis and strongly against shearing attacks ability.
