Abstract

This paper introduces the importance of extract, transform and load (ETL) in the process of building data warehouse, analyses the process of ETL and cuts a full life cycle ETL process into five stages: source verification, source alteration, common interchange, target load determination and aggregation. Finally, it analyses the ETL productions and their function characteristics, and forecastes the future of function trends.
