Abstract

OBJECTIVE To analyze the protective effects of the Bufeiyuantang against acute hepatic injury induced by CCl4 in mice.METHODS The mouse model of acute hepatic injury model was established by the carbon tetrachloride(CCl4),and effects of the Bufeiyuantang for the level of ALT,AST,GSH,MDA,SOD and T-AOC in blood serum were observed.RESULTS In the acute hepatic injury of mice induced by CCl4,the activity of ALT,AST and the content of MDA in hepatic tissue were decreased significantly, but the activity of SOD,GSH and T-AOC were increased by the Bufeiyuantang.CONCLUSIONS The Bufeiyuantang has the protective effects against acute hepatic injury induced by CCl4 in mice, and its mechanism may be associated with eliminating free radicals and inhibiting lipid peroxidation.
