Abstract
Objective:To investigate the influence of Y chromosome abnormality on male reproductive ability.Methods:1 656 consultative patients were performed by peripheral blood lymphocytes culturing to make chromosome G-banding and analyze the karyotype by standard techniques.Results:30 cases of Y chromosome abnormality were observed in 1 656 patients, abnormal chromosome rate was 1.81%(30/1 656).Among the 30 cases,5 cases of numeric aberrations were found, accounting for 16.67%;25 cases of structural aberrations were found, accounting for 83.33%,including 4 cases of 45,XO mosaic 46,XY;1 cases of Robertsonian translocation 45,X,-Y,-13,+t(Y;13)(p1;q10);11 cases of big Y chromosome abnormality;14 cases of small Y chromosome abnormality. Conclusion:Chromosome abnormality is an important factor resulting in male reproductive ability.
