Clinical Analysis of Glycosylated Hemoglobin Test in 200 Cases of Diabetes

Objective To study the significance of glycosylated hemoglobin test in the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes mellitus.Methods The 200 cases of diabetes and 78 cases of healthy controls were selected according to WHO diagnosis standard,and their HbA1c was examined by the DS5 instrument of glycosylated hemoglobin.Results The data of fasting blood glucose and HbA1c in diabetes group were clearly higher than the normal control group,and there were significant differences(P0.01).The higher fasting plasma glucose levels,higher HbA1c levels.There was positive correlation between glycosylated hemoglobin and fasting glucose.Conclusion The detection of glycosylated hemoglobin in the blood may be helpful for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diabetes,and it is the gold standard for evaluation of blood glucose control programmes.
