Application of waterproofing materials for building to concrete bridge decks

It is widely accepted that concrete bridge deck is protected by waterproofing material to prevent the steel from corroding. But at present there are few special waterproofing materials for concrete bridge decks in China, which can't meet the demand. So the application of waterproofing material for building to concrete bridge decks was studied. The research shows that as the performance requirements is more strict for material for bridge deck than for the building, the material for building can't be directly used for bridge decks,and the material need to be improved to meet the demand of waterproofing for concrete bridge decks.
