Abstract
Human leukocyte antigen-G(HLA-G) is one of the non-classical class Ⅰ human leukocyte antigen, which are expressed mainly in the trophoblast cells outside the placental villi in the early pregnancy. They play an important role in the establishment of immune tolerance in pregnancy. In the passed decade, many studies have shown that HLA-G is associated with the recurrent spontaneous abortion. This review will discuss the molecular biological characteristics of HLA,the tissue distribution of HLA-G,the HLA-G gene and expression, the HLA-G gene polymorphism and the association with the recurrent spontaneous abortion.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
