Design and Implementation of Network Sniffer Based on Winpcap

Aiming at the security problems of network management,the paper proposes a network sniffer with Winpcap as development platform and Visual C++ as development tool Winpcap and visual C++.The fundamental principle of the network sniffer is analyzed and the procedure during which Winpcap captures the packet is introduced.The key function is finally given.The results show that the network sniffer has such advantages as simple structure and fast data capture,which is signifant to the network security and management.
