Abstract
Objective: To study the influence of age on auditory P300 test results.Methods: Auditory P300was tested in 94 healthy subjects and the results were analyzed by t test and the linear correlation.Results: The peaklatency (PL) and amplitude (Amp) of P300 were significantly different between the adult group and the old group. There is no linear correlation between age and P300 results within each group. For all subjects tested, age had positive linear correlation with PL and negative li near correlation with Amp. It means that with people growing older the PL will i ncrease and the Amp decrease.Conclusions: The in fluence of age on P300 shoud be considered in clinical practice. The EP laboratories should establish their P300 normal values for different a ge groups independently.
