Abstract

The distributing characteristic of urban heat island effect in Guangzhou City was studies with Landsat 7 ETM+ data of Guangzhou City in November,2002 gained by Chinese remote sensing satellite.The results showed that the urban heat island effect mainly distributed in industrial dense districts with high energy consumption and high heat source strength.
