Abstract
With more than 30 000 km,the dike management of the Yangtze River has been emphasized by the governments at all levels.However,the management system was affected by planned economy for a long time which cannot meet the requirements of current market economy.After the issuance of Implementation Suggestion of Water Project Management System Reform,the pilot work of dike management system reform has been carried out in various provinces in the Yangtze River Basin and a lot of experiences have been accumulated.Based on the analysis of the current status of the river dike management system and the existing problems,combining with practice of dike management,we propose some measures and suggestions for the reform of dike management system of the Yangtze River.
