Abstract

Objective To study The regulation of protein kinase C in eosinophil apoptosis. Methods With in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry methods,in 26 nasal polys specialized by eosinophil infiltration and proliferation, and PKC and anti-apoptotic gene bcl-2mRNA and associated protein were messured;in cell-cultured way, with PKC inhibitor—Iso-H7 to measure Eosinophil apoptotic index. Results The expression of PKC and bcl-2 mRNA as well as associated protein in eosinophils showed remarkably positive relation respectively(r_1=0.0875,r_2=0.0823,P0.01).The inhibitor of PKC could significantly promote eosinophil apoptosis. Conclusion PKC could inhibit eosinophil apoptosis, and it will provide new methods in treating diseases of eosinophil infiltration and proliferation in fulture.
