Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate in prevention from chemotherapy-induced liver injury in hospitalized patients with gastric cancer. Methods A total of 181 patients with gastric cancer treated by chemotherapy were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were divided into 4 groups according to different treatment approaches:group 1 was treated by chemotherapy combined with GIK,group 2 was treated by chemotherapy combined with diammonium glycyrrhizinate, group 3 was treated by chemotherapy combined with magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate and group 4 was treated by chemotherapy combined with magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate and diammonium glycyrrhizinate. The serum ALT,AST,ALP,GGT,and TBIL were observed before and after chemotherapy. Results Compared with group 1 and group 2,the ALT,AST,ALP,GGT,TBIL and the incidence of chemotherapy-induced liver damage in group 3 and group 4 were reduced significantly(P 0.05).Conclusion Magnesium isoglycurrhizinate can reduce the liver injury of chemotherapeutics and protect the liver function of the patients with gastric cancer after chemotherapy.
