Abstract

One is targeted to SIP domain so that an NGN-specific SIP version can be specified, and the other is targeted to the interworking between NGN SIP domain and traditional PSTN. Important issues within NGN SIP domain that need to be solved are pointed out after analyzing of IETF SIP characteristics and NGN requirements, and possible solutions for standardization are provided also. Compliance proposal for interworking NGN SIP domain and traditional PSTN is made based on the comparison of IETF SIP-T series and ITU-T SIP-I series.
