Abstract

Based on the Orkiszewski’s flow pattern formulae,this paper gives a comprehensive investigation on flow patterns in gas-lift wells in China.The results show that there only exist bubble flow and slug flow in gas-lift wells,and slug flow occurs above gas-injection point.So the study of bubble flow and slug flow should be strengthened regardless to transition flow and mist flow.
