Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of acupoint application to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in patients with malignant tumors. Methods Seventy-five patients with chemotherapy were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=37)and a control group(n=38).The control group received chemotherapy before and after intravenous infusion of granisetron to prevent gastrointestinal reactions, and treatment group received additional acupoint sticking therapy in the prevention of chemotherapy nausea and vomiting. Results The total effective control rate of chemotherapy treatment group was 91.4%,and the control group 52.6%.The difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application can prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and adverse reactions. It is easy to operate, and easy to be accepted by patients.
