Abstract
Objective To evaluate the interventional treatment of early avascular necrosis of femoral head (AHFH). Methods Sixteen patients of AHFH with interventional treatment were invastigated. Results After the interventional treatment, the patient's pain released or disappeared during 1-4 months. The X-ray examination showed the density of the femoral head increased in 86% treated cases, there was some absorption and diminution in the center or peripheral area of the sequestrum; the contours of the femoral head improved significantly. Conclusion Interventional therapy is one of convenient and effective methods for the treatment of ANFH.
