Efficacy of Huoxueyixin decoction to treat chronic congestive heart failure

Objective To observe the clinical effects of conbined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine to treat chronic congestive heart failure.Methods Forty-nine patients with chronic heart failure were divided into observation group(25 cases) and control group(24 cases).The patients in control group were treated with regular western medicine,on the basis of this the patients in observation group were given Huoxueyixin decoction.One course of treatment was 30 days,and the efficacy of 2 groups was compared after one course of treatment.Results In observation group,7 cases were clinical recent cured,13 cases were excellence,5 cases were good,there was no invalid cases,the total effective rate was 100%.In control group,3 cases were clinical recent cured,6 cases were excellence,7 cases were good,6 cases were invalid,total efficiency was 75.0%.The total efficiency in observation group was higher than that in control group(P 0.05),the relapse rates of six month and one year were lower than control group(P 0.05).Conclusion Treating the patients with chronic congestive heart failure with Huoxueyixin decoction on basis of western medicine can improve efficacy obviously.
