Abstract
In recent years, the trilobite fossil Diceratocephalus has been discovered in a number of the Cambrian successions in North China, such as Jiulongshan of Laiwu, Heishizhai of Zibo, and Dawenkou of Taian. The Diceratocephalus trilobite Subzone can be promoted to the Diceratocephalus trilobite Zone. Therefore the Gushanian Stage contains 4 trilobite zones: the Diceratocephalus armatus Zone, the Drepanura premesnili Zone, Blackwelderia paronai Zone, and the Damesella paronai Zone.
