Abstract
Objective To assess the assouation of serum Interliukin-18,TNF-α and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 62 T2DM patients and 40 non-diabetic controls were selected levels of Interliukin-18,TNF-α meal measured.Fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin, blood lvpid,BMI and WHR were measured.Homa-IR were calculated. Results The levels of serum Interliukin-18,TNF-α and Homa-IR in T2DM group were significantly higher than those in control group.IL-18 and TNF-α level of serum was positively corrdated with Homa-IR.IL-18 level of serum was positively associated with BMI and WHR.Conclusion IL-18,TNF-α independent risk foctors for IR may be involved in T2DM development, and it could reflect the degree of insulin resistance indirectly.
