Abstract
Dream is the psychological activity in people's sleep,an aimless and involuntary unconscious imagination and the utmost form of unconscious imagination.According to Psychoanalysis,the essence of dream is unconscious while physic psychologists view it as the mechanical function of unbalance of cerebral cortex.The emergence of dream is under the integrated influence of the following factors: the unconscious as its deep cause,the imbalanced excitement of cerebral cortex as the physiological mechanism,the outer surroundings,physiological pathology and individual psychology.Objectively,dream has positive functions on both the physiology and psychology of the individual.
