Abstract
A new kind of torque and rotational speed measuring instrument was constructed with the AT89S52 single chip microcomputer, sampling circuit, displaying circuit, protection circuit and communicating circuit, which can measure the motors output torque, power and rotational speed. The measurement principle of torque and rotational speed was analyzed. The new method presented to measure torque was the transformation of energy, and the method of measuring rotational speed was M/T,which can measure wider speed. The hardware constitution and software design were introduced.By experimental validation, this system can not only improve the measurement accuracy, but also predigest the hardware constitution which has a lower cost;the results are accorded with the practicality.
