Abstract
To investigate the application of total mesorectum excision(TME) in low pre sacrum resection (LPR) of rectum cancer. From 1995 to 2000,a total of 67 cases with rectum cancer undergoing LPR were studied retrospectively. Five cases(7%) of anastomostic leakage were found and cured after covering stoma. No mortality correlated to surgery.[Conclusion]TME is safe and effective in LPR of rectum cancer.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
