Abstract
In his representative masterpiece Scarlet Letter,Hawthorne not only reflected the romantic and transcendental ideology at that time but also made conspicuous his unique thought and understanding of the nature.The in Scarlet Letter involved three aspects: the nature in materialistic world,the human nature,and the essence of the nature,which is the realm Hawthorne had been pursuing in the real world.
