Abstract

With the development of the theory and technology on GIS(Geographical Information System),GIS is being used more and more widely and plays a very important role in many fields.This paper summarizes the development and actuality of GIS,and analyzes the application requirement of GIS.Finally,combining with the technological characteristics of information,this paper discusses the main development direction of GIS.The author hopes this paper can promote the great development and realize a new leap of GIS.
