Abstract
In this paper, we study the exact traveling wave solutions for the generalized Zakharov equations. By introducing the improved G /G expansion method, many exact traveling wave solutions are obtained for the generalized Zakharov equations which have important physical background with the aid of computer algebraic system Mathematica, These solutions include solitary wave solutions, hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions and rational function solutions.
