Abstract
Aim To investigate the chemical constituents of Scutellaria barbata D.Don.Methods Nine compounds were separated from the whole plant and their structures were identified by the spectral analysis and chemical evidence.Results Nine compounds were isolated and identified as 6-hydroxycoumarin(1),vanillic acid(2),isovanillic acid(3),4′-hydroxywogonin(4),6-methoxynaringenin(5),apigenin(6),naringenin(7),luteolin(8),and isocarthamidin(9).Conclusion Compound 1 was isolated from Scutellaria for the first time,while compounds 2 and 3 were isolated from Scutellaria barbata D.Don for the first time.
