Abstract
Friction and wear test of different heat treated Cr12 steel under different wear conditions was carried out using MMS-2B model wear testing machine. The effect of friction condition and heat treatment on wear performance of Cr12 steel was studied to determine the best technique,The results show that wear resistance of Cr12 steel is high under preheating at 820 ℃ and oil-quenching at 1 050 ℃ and twice and three times tempering conditions, the wear resistance of three times tempering is higher than that of twice tempering, but improving range is less;with the acceleration of rotate speed and load, wear resistance decreases somewhat.
