Abstract

[Objective] To study ginger volatile oil from Tongling and provide theoretical basis for development and utilization.[Method] Using gas chromatography mass spectrometry,Tongling ginger essential oil components were separated and identified and each component content was calculated by the method of peak area normalization.[Result] 12 major ingredients were identified, accounting for 67.356% of the total volatile oil content, and 5 ingredients were first found in ginger. In addition, zingiberene was the highest content,up to 16.730%.[Conclusion] The results indicated that Tongling ginger was different in category and content of their chemical composition from other producing areas ginger, which has the development and utilization value.
