Abstract
For lithium- ion battery due to the low monomer battery voltage is usually used in series, series lithium- ion battery pack after repeated charge- discharge generated imbalanced problem, put forward a kind of based on BQ78PL116 Power Pump balance circuit. The balanced circuit makes the high voltage battery of the series battery to charge to inductor, then discharge to the low voltage battery,so as to achieve the aim of maintenance the battery pack balanced. Through the analysis of the Power Pump circuit operation principle, the chip has the advantages of simple structure, easy to control, fast and efficient. The chip used in underground backup power management system, not only can extend battery life, more can improve the efficiency of the management system.
