Abstract
Digital television set top box (DTV STB) is the necessary choice in the transition age from the conventional analog television to the digital television. It consists of three parts including hardware platform, software platform and smart card. The main functions of it are demodulating, decoding and manifesting of the digital television signals. An optimized design scheme of the DTV STB was proposed based on the analysis of the composition principle of it.
