Abstract
The age structure, reproductive age structure, fecundity and reproductive value of Larix chinensis were studied, the reproductive fitness and the reproductive strategy were analyzed in this paper. The results indicated that (1) The number of lower age class is little in both south slope and north slope. The difference of fecundity in two populations is not significant, but the reproductive age is older in north slope,so does the time of average reproduction and life span.(2) The reproductive value of north slope is higher than south slope, and the reproductive fitness is also higher in north slope.(3)Before Ⅶ age class the RRV is higher in north slope, but the speed of descending with the age is faster in south slope.
