Abstract

Objective:To preliminarily study the protective effect of Sanqidanshen against immune liver fibrosis in rats. Methods:The experimental immune liver fibrosis model was established by intraperitoneal injection with porcine serum for 12 weeks in rats. From the 7th week after injection of porcine serum, Sanqidanshen(1 g/kg) or Colchicine(0.1 mg/kg) were administered intragastrically once a day for 6 weeks. All animals were sacrificed at the end of 12th week. The hepatic function was evaluated by determining the serum levels of ALT, AST, ALB and TB by automatic biochemistry analyzer, then HA, LN, PC-Ⅲ and C-Ⅳ were determined by ELISA.The progression of hepatic fibrosis was confirmed by pathological analysis and stage of liver fibrosis was analyzed. Results:Sanqidanshen could decrease the serum levels of ALT, AST, HA, LN, PC-Ⅲ and C-Ⅳ, and the liver fibrosis degree was also declined. Conclusion:Sanqidanshen is effective for the treatment of immune liver fibrosis induced by porcine serum in rats.
